AJA ColorBox HDR/SDR Color Converter
Built for broadcast applications, the AJA ColorBox HDR/SDR Color Converter is an SDR/HDR/WCG signal-supporting device capable of managing color-driven workflows for consistent conversion across live programs.
One 12G-SDI input delivers up to UHD 4K video to two 12G-SDI outputs or one HDMI 2.0 output for high-quality video.
The ColorBox can also support up to 16-bit TIFF images.
Outfitted with 3D LUT processing with support for 1D LUTs and 3x3 matrices, the ColorBox offers user-configurable color control using industry-standard file types.
Five processing pipeline modes, including two licensable upgrade options, are available for the ColorBox:
° AJA Color, Colorfront, NBCU LUTs, ORION-CONVERT, and BBC HLG LUT.
° Advanced setting control for the device can be achieved via the web user interface using the Gigabit Ethernet port.
° A mini-USB port on the front panel can connect a third-party controller and configure the initial IP address of the device.
° Included with the ColorBox is an AC power adapter for integration into your preexisting broadcast configuration.
Features at a Glance
° Ultralow latency, less than half a video line
° Seven LUT nodes plus overlay: one 3D LUT processor, four 1D LUT processors, two 3x3 matric processors
° Supports industry-standard file types, no conversion is needed
° Five color processing pipelines: AJA color, Colorfront mode, NBCU LUTs, ORION-CONVERT mode (Licensed Upgrade), BBC HLG LUT mode (Licensed Upgrade)
° Video preview in web user interface for monitoring
° Nine built-in test patterns up to UHD 4K
° User text, input/output signal, and pipeline configuration in overlay output
° Onboard library for file management of 16 1D LUTs, 16 3D LUTs, 16 3x3 matrices, and 16 images
° Embedded SDI 16-channel and HDMI 8-channel pass-through
° Lightweight 1 RU unit with ultraquiet fan operation
° 4-pin mini-XLR DC power connector
° Select button on the front panel bypasses video processing
° Extensive API for third-party control integration
° Gigabit Ethernet port and embedded web server for remote control
° Configure IP address via mini-USB port and set up software for both Windows and macOS
* Note: To make the matrix operational, a power cable with a European/Italian plug is required
