At Adcom we are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.
This document explains when and why we collect sensitive information about the people who visit our website, how we use it, the conditions under which we may disclose it to others, and how we keep it secure. Adcom does not buy, sell or rent data from any third party.
We may change this policy from time to time, so please check this page occasionally to make sure you are happy with any changes. By using our website you agree to be bound by this policy.

We are Adcom, a reseller of audio, video, professional cinema and broadcast equipment, dedicated to helping everyone make better television, video and digital films. 1.3 HOW DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM YOU?

We obtain sensitive information about you when you voluntarily register on our website, or through the records kept by our customer management team: for example when you contact us for information about products and services, to buy equipment or to book a repair, service or rental, to create or change a "kit", to sign up for an event we organise, or to subscribe to our newsletter.

1.4 WHAT KIND OF INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT ABOUT YOU?

The personal information we collect may include your name, address, email address, IP address and information about which pages were read and when. If you buy or rent a product from us, either online or at our premises, your card details are not kept by us: they are collected by our third-party payment processors, who specialise in the encrypted online capture and processing of credit and debit card transactions, as explained below.

1.5 HOW IS YOUR INFORMATION USED?

We may use your information to:
• process the orders you have placed or that have been fulfilled
• meet our obligations under any contract entered into between you and us
• deal with requests, questions, returns and so on
• listen to your views or comments on the services we provide
• tell you about changes to our services
• send you the communications you have asked for and that may be of interest to you (these may include information about products, events, promotional offers and so on)
• process a job or collaboration application
We review the retention period for personal information periodically. We are legally required to hold certain types of information in order to meet our tax obligations. We will keep your personal information on our systems for as long as is necessary for the activity in question, or for as long as is set out in any relevant contract to which we are a party.

1.6 WHO HAS ACCESS TO YOUR INFORMATION?

We will not sell or rent your information to third parties under any circumstances.
Third-party service providers working on our behalf: we may pass your information to third-party service providers, subcontractors, agents and other associated organisations for the purpose of completing tasks and providing services to you on our behalf. These include the card payment providers (Banca Sella and Nexi), the finance companies that make instalment payments or operating leases possible (Sella Personal Credit, Younited, Findomestic Banca S.p.A.) and the carriers that handle delivery of the goods and fulfilment of orders.
When we use third-party service providers we disclose only the personal information needed to provide the service, and we have a contract in place requiring them to keep your information secure and not to use it for their own direct marketing purposes. You can be assured that we will not release your information to third parties outside the ADCOM network for use for their own direct marketing purposes.
When you use the secure online payment pages you are redirected to a secure third-party payment portal. Our third-party payment processors specialise in the online capture and processing of credit and debit card transactions. If you have any question about secure transactions, please contact us.
We will not share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
In the event of the sale or of the total or partial restructuring of our business of selling goods and services, sensitive data may be transferred to third parties as part of the transaction.
In order to meet any legal obligation we will have to share your personal data with the parties concerned, applying and enforcing our terms of use to protect the rights, property or safety of our customers. We will take steps to ensure that your privacy rights continue to be protected.

1.7 YOUR CHOICES

You can choose whether or not you wish to receive information from us. If you do not wish to receive direct marketing communications from us about our products, services, events, promotions and news, you can set your preferences by ticking the relevant boxes on the form through which we collect your information.
We will not contact you for marketing purposes by email, telephone or text message unless you have given your consent. You can change your marketing preferences at any time by contacting us by email at [email protected] or by telephone on +39 051 369940.

1.8 HOW YOU CAN ACCESS AND UPDATE YOUR INFORMATION

The accuracy of your information matters to us. We are working to make it easier to review and correct the information we hold about you. In the meantime, if you change your email address, or if any of the other information we hold is inaccurate or out of date, under articles 15 et seq. of EU Regulation 2016/679 you can:

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information ADCOM holds about you, and we will provide that information free of charge provided your request is fair and reasonable (we may charge € 10 for requests judged to be repetitive, unreasonable or excessive).

1.9 HOW WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION AGAINST LOSS, MISUSE OR UNAUTHORISED ALTERATION

When you give us personal information we take steps to make sure it is treated securely, through access passwords. We do not store any credit or debit card details (unless you expressly ask us to in writing) and we do everything we can to protect all other sensitive data, including encryption of the data we hold at our premises and encrypted connections using TLS 1.2 or later on our website. As evidence of this, a padlock icon appears in your browser's address bar wherever you are on our site.
Non-sensitive details (your email address and so on) are transmitted in the clear over the internet, and this can never be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of the information you send us, and you do so at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we do our best to keep it secure on our systems.
Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password that lets you access certain parts of our websites, you are responsible for keeping that password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone.
Data is copied internally for backup purposes. Backups are deleted periodically.

1.10 PROFILING

We may analyse personal information to build a profile of your interests and preferences, so that we can contact you with information that is relevant to you. We may use additional information about you, where it is available from external sources (for example Facebook), to help us do this effectively. We may also use your personal information to detect and reduce fraud and credit risk.

1.11 USE OF "COOKIES"

Like many other websites, the adcom.it website uses cookies. "Cookies" are small pieces of information sent by a web server to your client computer and stored on your hard disk, so that the website can recognise you when you return. Cookies collect statistical data about your actions and browsing patterns and do not identify you as an individual. For example, we use cookies to store your display language preference. This helps us improve our website and offer a better, more personalised service.

1.12 GOOGLE reCAPTCHA

We also use a tool provided by Google called "reCAPTCHA", whose purpose is to tell humans from robots in order to prevent the misuse of forms by spam bots and to minimise the risk of fraud and identity theft. The reCAPTCHA algorithm may use cookies and other information such as IP address, date, time, language, screen size and resolution and mouse movements on the page. The reCAPTCHA tool is subject to Google's terms of use and privacy policy.

1.13 LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES

Our website may contain links to other websites run by other organisations. This privacy policy applies only to our website, so we encourage you to read the privacy policies of the other websites you visit. We cannot be held responsible for the privacy policies and practices of other sites, even where they are reached through a link on our site.
Furthermore, if you reach our website from a third-party site, we cannot be held responsible for the privacy policies and practices of its owners and operators, so we recommend that you check the privacy policy of the site you came from.

1.14 MINIMUM AGE FOR ACCESS TO SERVICES

We do not knowingly provide services to customers under the age of 18. It is a requirement that all ADCOM customers are over 18.

1.15 TRANSFER OF INFORMATION OUTSIDE EUROPE

As part of the services offered to you through this website, the information you give us may be transferred to countries outside the European Union ("EU"). By way of example, this may happen if you buy goods for delivery outside the EU and the chosen carrier is located outside the EU. These countries may not have laws similar to the European ones on the protection of sensitive data. By submitting your personal data you accept this transfer, storage or processing. If we transfer your information outside the EU, we will nonetheless take steps to ensure that appropriate security rules are applied, so as to ensure that your privacy rights continue to be protected as set out in this Notice.
If you use our services while you are outside the EU, your information may be transferred outside the EU in order to provide those services.

1.16 SITE ANALYTICS RECORDING

Our website may also use a session recording service. Adcom works with Google, which has developed products able to record mouse clicks, mouse movements, page scrolling and any text typed into the forms on the website. The information collected does not include bank details or sensitive personal data that would make you identifiable. The anonymised session data generated during such visits may be used for Google's aggregate and statistical reports.
