Cookie Policy
What this cookie policy is
This page explains which cookies and similar tools we use on www.adcom.it, what they are for and how you decide. It is part of our Privacy Policy and should be read together with it. Last updated: September 2026.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file the site saves on your device through your browser. Some are needed to make the pages work: without them your cart would empty at every click and the site would forget you are logged in. Others tell us how the site is used. Unlike the first ones, these are installed only if you agree.
How we ask for your consent
On your first visit a banner offers three choices: Accept all, Reject all and Choose, which opens the preferences purpose by purpose. Accepting and refusing both cost one click, and refusing does not limit browsing, purchases or access to your account in any way.
Until you choose, only the technical cookies listed below stay on your device: no analytics tool is loaded. We keep your choice in a cookie of our own, adcom_consenso, for six months; after that we ask again.
How to change your mind at any time
At the bottom of every page there is a Cookie preferences link: open it, change your choices and save. Withdrawing is as easy as accepting, as Article 7 of the GDPR requires. If you withdraw consent to analytics, the Google Analytics cookies already on your device are deleted straight away and the service is no longer loaded.
Technical cookies, always present
These are required for the site to work, which is why they do not need your consent. They are not used to profile anyone.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
| PHPSESSID | Adcom | Holds your visit together: cart, quotes and access to your account. | Until you close the browser |
| adcom_consenso | Adcom | Remembers the choice you made about these cookies, so we do not ask on every page. | 6 months |
| cf_clearance | Cloudflare | Tells people apart from automated programs and protects the site from attacks and abuse. | 1 year |
| usr, pwd | Adcom | Present only if you choose to stay signed in after closing the browser. | Until you log out |
| df-session, df-hashid | Doofinder | Keep product search working during your visit: which catalogue to query and which session your searches belong to. | 1 day |
Analytics cookies, only with your consent
They tell us which pages are viewed, by how many visitors and how the site is browsed, so we understand what works and what needs fixing. We install them only after you have accepted the "Usage statistics" purpose.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
| _ga | Google Analytics 4 | Gives your browser an identifier, to tell a new visit from a returning one. | 13 months |
| _ga_KSYYDG85Q8 | Google Analytics 4 | Keeps track of the single browsing session. | 13 months |
| df-random-userid, df-latest-visits | Doofinder | A random identifier and the list of the last pages viewed, for search statistics. Without your consent they are not created, and if you withdraw it they are deleted. | Until you clear your browser data |
Doofinder, which powers the search, does not use cookies as such but the browser's own storage (local storage): for you it amounts to the same thing, data saved on your device, which is why it is listed here.
One point we want to make plainly, because many notices claim the opposite: this data is not anonymous. Google Analytics gives your browser an identifier that allows it to be recognised over time, even though it does not contain your name. It is pseudonymous data, and that is why we ask you instead of taking it for granted.
The service is provided by Google Ireland Limited; data may also be processed in the United States under the Data Privacy Framework. On adcom.it collection is set up in aggregate form, with no advertising data and no cross-linking with other Google services. Google's own notice is at policies.google.com/privacy; visit data is kept for 14 months.
Third-party services in our pages
Besides cookies, some features of the site are provided by outside companies, which receive the visitor's IP address in order to work:
Doofinder (Doofinder S.L., Spain) powers product search and the suggestions you see as you type.
Zendesk / Zopim provides the support chat, where enabled.
Cloudflare (Cloudflare Inc.) delivers the site and protects it from attacks.
Younited and Findomestic handle finance applications, only if you choose to use them.
Nexi handles card payments, only if you choose to pay that way.
This site has no advertising cookies, no social network pixels and no tools that record mouse movements or what you type into forms. Should we ever introduce them, they would appear on this page and in the banner as a separate purpose, to accept or refuse.
What you can do from your browser
Besides our preferences, every browser lets you block or delete cookies from its own settings; bear in mind that blocking the technical ones can stop the cart and your account area from working. Instructions for the most common browsers are at cookiepedia.co.uk. For Google Analytics alone there is also Google's own add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
