Designed for advanced broadcast systems, it offers extremely high performance and low latency, with all connections on the back to keep cables neat, secure, and out of sight.
It features 8 100G Ethernet connections and 2 10G Ethernet connections, as well as simple SMPTE-2110 routing on the front panel.
It includes professional front-to-back cooling that is extremely quiet.
For advanced broadcast systems, it features two redundant Ethernet connections with PTP clocks, a separate NMOS control port, and a dedicated management port.

The two models have very different designs. The Blackmagic Ethernet Switch 360P features a traditional front panel design.
The Blackmagic Ethernet Switch 820 features a higher performance design with professional front-to-back cooling, 6 fans for redundancy, dual backup power supplies, and simple routing controls.
This quiet design is essential when working close to equipment, such as in OB trucks and mini racks!
Management Ethernet
The dedicated management port enables the use of the Blackmagic Ethernet Switch Utility for status monitoring and software updates.
Being isolated from the control, video, and audio networks, this port won't interfere with operation.

NMOS Control
The dedicated NMOS control port keeps management traffic separate from video and audio data.
NMOS control automatically detects and registers new SMPTE-2110 devices on your network, making them immediately available for routing without any manual configuration or specialized IT knowledge!
2 Redundant PTP Ports
Includes 2 PTP clock Ethernet ports for accurate SMPTE-2110 time synchronization and redundancy.
If one connection is lost, the second port maintains the time reference signal without interruption.
You can also connect two separate grandmaster clocks for increased reliability in the event of device failures or cable problems.
2 10G Ethernet Ports
Includes 2 separate 10G Ethernet ports, making it easy to connect computers, as 10G is less expensive and more widely available than 100G.
You can also connect equipment like the HyperDeck Extreme 8K, which can record 4 channels of video simultaneously over a single 10G Ethernet connection.
