The 10-bit panel (8+2 FRC) ensures more accurate color reproduction, with a high level of detail and no color banding.
This 5.5-inch monitor has a Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution, a wide 178° viewing angle, and a contrast ratio of 1000:1.
SDI and HDMI field monitor for professional cinematography
Portkeys BM5IV WR is a versatile on-camera monitor designed for professional filmmakers and content creators.
It features numerous video input and output ports, including two HDMI input and output ports that support resolutions up to 4K DCI at 60P.
There are also 3G-SDI input and output ports that support resolutions up to 1080P60.
The SDI video output can output a clean video signal, but it can also Output the image with a 3D LUT and peaking, if necessary.
The BM5IV WR can be positioned anywhere in the video signal chain thanks to HDMI cross-conversion.
With two video input ports, you can display two different video signals simultaneously with multiple display modes, including picture-in-picture, dual horizontal, dual vertical, left horizontal/right vertical, and left vertical/right horizontal.
Additional Connectivity and Audio Monitoring
To complement the video input/output and power ports, a USB-A port is also located on the bottom of the monitor for future firmware updates and loading custom LUTs.
On the left side of the monitor, a 3.5 mm headphone jack allows you to monitor the video signal.
Power and Mounting Options
Regarding power, with a low power consumption of just 17 W despite the highly bright 2,000 nit display, the Sony NP-F battery plate integrated into the back of the Portkeys The BM5IV WR can power it for hours.
Additionally, if you use an external battery to power your shooting system, the 4-pin aviation-grade power input ports and the industry-standard 2-pin 7.4V-24V LEMO power input port can power the monitor indefinitely.
The 4-pin aviation-grade 7.4V power output can also power small shooting accessories, such as a wireless focus motor.
On the bottom, top, and right side of the monitors, you'll find 1/4"-20 mounting points with locating pins to mount the BM5IV WR wherever you like.
On the top of the monitors, you'll find four user-assignable function buttons for quick access to your favorite monitoring tools.
