Teranex Mini 8K HDR is an advanced 8K monitoring solution for large televisions, projectors, and monitors with DisplayPort. Unlike the usual converters, it allows the use of third-party colorimeters to accurately uniform the color of the connected monitors. On the monitor it is possible to place two signal displays side by side, choosing between waveform, RGB alignment, vectorscope and histogram. Teranex Mini SDI to HDMI 8K HDR is perfect for film studios and broadcasters that require accurate but inexpensive professional monitoring, while Teranex Mini SDI to DisplayPort 8K HDR is also compatible with 8K monitors with DisplayPort. The elegant design integrates a color LCD display to monitor the video and manage the settings.
Advanced monitoring in 8K
Teranex Mini 8K HDR has been designed for broadcasts, live productions and feature films where it is important to monitor SDI on large screens. Perfect for monitoring the grading performed on DaVinci Resolve, both models process 3D LUTs and signal displays, lightening the load of the CPUs and GPUs. It is particularly useful with the more complex 8K formats. By combining Apple Pro Display XDR with Teranex SDI to DisplayPort 8K HDR, you can select the internal color profiles of the monitor so that the color space and the range agree accurately with the SDI input, for high precision grading. Teranex Mini SDI to HDMI 8K HDR is also great for multiview monitoring via switchers like ATEM Constellation 8K on large screen TVs, making it easier to check the focus of each source. You can even use the quad split system to create configurations consisting of multiple monitors. Imagine setting up a huge 8K video wall for concerts and other shows!
Designed for broadcast and post production
Unlike the usual converters, this innovative design is ideal both on the rack and on the work table. Use the buttons and the color display of the elegant front panel to monitor the video with audio levels and superimposed video standards. The back houses quad link 12G-SDI connections for HD, Ultra HD and 8K formats. Teranex Mini SDI to HDMI 8K HDR has 4 HDMI outputs compatible with 8K TVs equipped with quad HDMI inputs. Teranex Mini SDI to DisplayPort 8K HDR includes a USB-C type connection for monitors such as Apple Pro Display XDR and two standard DisplayPort connections for regular computer monitors. The integrated scaler resizes the incoming video standard to the native resolution of the connected DisplayPort monitor. Otherwise there is also the pixel-by-pixel mode, which displays HD or 4K content that is not resized. Both models convert to a lower resolution to use 8K sources with Ultra HD and HD TVs and monitors, and even perform automatic 2SI to square division conversions! They are equipped with AC power connections, HiFi analog audio, and front USB to connect the colorimeters.
Full compatibility with HDR
Teranex Mini 8K HDR has everything you need for new HDR workflows. To monitor in SDI HDR just connect an HDMI display or with DisplayPort. Static metadata in the PQ and Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) formats are managed according to the ST2108-1, ST2084 and ST425 standards. Teranex Mini 8K HDR supports ST425, which defines two new bits in the VPID to indicate the transfer characteristics of SDR, HLG or PQ. In addition, the ST2108-1 standard defines how to transport static or dynamic HDR metadata via SDI. The ST2082-10 for 12G-SDI and ST425 for 3G-SDI sources are also compatible, as well as the color spaces Rec.2020 and Rec.709, and 100% of the DCI-P3 format.
