Sony IP-Ready Camera Control Unit (CCU) for HDC-3500 4K/HD System Cameras
The HDCU-3500 Camera Control Unit is designed for use with Sony's HDC-3500 and HDC-3500 4K/HD system cameras.
It provides interfaces to external devices and power to the camera in a lightweight, portable half-rack (3U) body that is ideal for OB production environments.
12G-SDI and 4K output are available via the optional HZCU-UHD35 software license.
The CCU also provides an optional path to IP functionality with HDC series fiber-optic studio cameras.
IP tally support (TSL UMD v5.0) is available as standard, while CCU menu settings can be conveniently changed remotely over a network.
Compact body, powerful features
This CCU offers 4K and IP in a compact half-rack body.
IP-ready
The optional HKCU-SFP50 IP interface kit adds ST 2110-standard 4K/HD IP video/audio and IP intercom functionality.
High-quality long-distance signal transmission
With the optional HKCU-SM50 interface kit, the compact HDCU-3500 can be connected directly to the HDC-3500 or HDC-3100 using 3G single-mode fiber (SMF) for long-distance transmission up to 10 km, making it ideal for space-constrained operations such as OB vans.
Support for a Wide Range of HDC Cameras
The HDCU-3500 supports not only the HDC-3500 and HDC-3100 but also the existing HDC-2500 series natively.
Additionally, with optional hardware accessories, the HDCU-3500 can connect to the flagship HDC-5500 4K camera.
MENU Settings via Web Browser
The CCU supports menu control via a web browser.
Multiple CCU status monitoring, file import/export configuration, and remote firmware updates improve efficiency and ease of use.
Real-Time Recording and Network Transfer
With the HKCU-REC55 recording option, the HDCU-3500 can record a live feed within the CCU. The file can be transferred to USB SSD storage devices or over the network in real time while recording. Therefore, when the recovery operation is completed, the file has already been transferred to the portable SSD or NAS.
