This series includes the Omni 4060, 4061, 4062, 4063, and 4071 miniature microphones.
Each version is dedicated to a specific application based on sensitivity, power supply, and positioning requirements.
All are based on the original 4060, the very first miniature microphone developed by DPA with best-in-class technology previously used only in hearing aid and measurement microphones.
All microphones in the series share important core features, but each is optimized for specific applications.
The series was developed to withstand the most demanding conditions.
They feature a pre-polarized 5.4 mm condenser element with a vertical diaphragm.
This exclusive dual-venting system makes the microphones extremely resistant to moisture and sweat.
These microphones also use a Kevlar-reinforced cable gland, built to withstand the constant twisting, bending, and tearing that are part of daily use in demanding applications.

The acoustic response of the 4060 Series can be modified by choosing the most suitable grille for the occasion.
Two grilles are provided for each microphone (except the 4071, which has a fixed grille).
The pre-installed Soft Boost Grid provides a slight boost of 3 dB between 8 and 20 kHz.
It can be used when the microphone is positioned on the performer's head and in all applications that require a natural sound.
The other included grille, the High Boost Grid, adds 10 dB in the 12 kHz region, useful in applications where the microphone is chest-mounted or concealed.
The grilles are made of stainless steel with a hard, scratch-resistant coating.
They can be easily removed from the microphone and cleaned of sweat or makeup.

4060 Miniature Omnidirectional Microphone, Normal SPL
This microphone is small in size, but lends itself to a variety of configurations.
Because of its miniature size, it exhibits exceptionally accurate omnidirectional behavior, and it does not need to be pointed directly at the source to obtain quality recordings.
The omnidirectional pattern makes it less sensitive to mechanical noise, pressure peaks, and wind.
This microphone was originally designed for theater use with wireless systems, but today it is also one of the most popular microphones for television and film applications.
Designed specifically for capturing all the nuances of speech, it can also be used for close-miking a wide range of instruments.
This microphone can handle sound pressure levels up to 134 dB SPL before clipping.
It is particularly suitable for applications where the sound source is distant or attenuated and a good balance is required.
