Unit with rigid dynamic contrast and Black Detail High / Mid / Low mode
The Dynamic Contrast Unit is a new backlight system that dynamically changes the backlight luminance based on the scene and frame. You can quickly and easily check the overall balance of areas of intense light and shadow. Thanks to this unit, the monitor is able to dynamically perform a contrast ratio of 1,000,000: 1.

The PVM-X2400 is compatible with 12G-SDI of the latest generation models and is able to provide a Quad-link 3G-SDI and single HD-SDI input for traditional devices. This HDMI input functionality supports from PC signal 640x480 / 60P to 4096 x 2160 / 60P 4: 2: 2 12 bit YCBCR.
Multiple purposes
Vectorscope and waveform monitoring can be viewed simultaneously with scales for HDR and SDR. You can conveniently control both the input signal level and the output luminance from the HDR scales of the waveform monitoring. The waveform offers three different luminance displays, RGB / YCBCR alignment or RGB / YCBCR overlay with gamut error display. In addition, you can also view the waveform of a specific line.

The OSD has been radically modified to make this monitor even more intuitive and faster to use. The menu design allows you to check the settings and quickly change some parameters. The channel selection button helps operators to reduce the risk of incorrect settings.
Practical functionality for field applications
The 24 V DC power supply allows you to use this model in the field, regardless of the large 24 "screen and the high luminance of 1000 cd / m2. The optional protection panel * protects the premium LCD screen from accidental knocks. User 3D LUT and bracket mounting are also supported. Dynamic contrast unit is particularly useful for night shooting.
* Optional protection panel cannot be used when the monitor is in use to protect the screen from the heat generated by the backlight .
Different mounting possibilities
Despite the 24 "screen, the PVM-X2400 can be installed on standard 19" EIA racks for studio applications and on OB vans. Bracket mounting and VESA installation are also very practical for installing the model on a C-mount for field applications and on a desktop arm for editing.

The black level is reduced, while the gamma is maintained to obtain the correct grayscale and colors. However, areas with high luminance levels are cropped due to the dynamic range of the monitor. The parts to be cropped can be viewed with zebra patterns or cropped images.
