The Samyang 16mm T2.2 ED AS UMC CS ultra-wide-angle lens is designed for digital SLR cameras and compact mirrorless cameras with APS-C sensors.
Samyang VDSLR lenses feature follow-focus compatible rings.
This solution allows for accurate and effortless rotation of the focus and aperture rings.
The aperture ring rotates smoothly and noiselessly.
These modifications allow for extremely effective control of the focal plane and depth of field during shooting.
The lens was designed with extreme attention to detail.
The optical construction consists of 13 elements arranged in 11 groups, including an ED extra-low dispersion element, a glass aspherical element, and a hybrid aspherical element. The lenses are coated with multilayer anti-reflective UMC coatings to ensure perfect light transmission.
The brightness of the lens corresponds to the T2.2 number. To make it easier to read the focus and aperture scale, both of these indices are positioned parallel to the optical axis of the lens.
