The new 11-20mm F2.8 is the world's first ultra wide-angle zoom lens dedicated to Sony E-mount APS-C mirrorless cameras to boast a maximum brightness of F2.8. Despite its high F2.8 brightness, the lens is very small (86.2mm) and is perfectly balanced on compact APS-C mirrorless camera bodies. It is the ideal ultra wide-angle lens for regular use. At the ultra wide angle (11mm) end of its focal range, this lens offers outstanding close-up shooting performance, thanks to a minimum distance to subject (MOD) of 0.15m and a maximum magnification ratio of 1: 4, a a real invitation to wide-angle macro shooting by exploiting the particular creative effects of distortion that only ultra-wide-angle lenses can provide.
This new zoom features Moisture-Proof Construction and Fluorine Optical Coating, so it can be used safely outdoors. Its thread for 67mm filters is the same as the TAMRON 17-70mm F / 2.8 Di III-A VC RXD bright standard zoom (Model B070) for Sony E-mount APS-C mirrorless cameras and virtually all lenses TAMRON for full-frame mirrorless cameras, lenses perfectly suited for use with APS-C cameras. Compatible with many of the features Sony integrates into its cameras, including Fast Hybrid AF and Eye AF functions, the lens is packed with features designed to make it easier to use.
