- Angle of view: 110°

- Limited barrel distortion
- 14-blade aperture diaphragm
- Support for full-frame sensors
The Laowa 15mm f/4 Macro lens is the first wide-angle lens with a maximum focus ratio of 1:1.
This allows photographers to experiment with the relatively new technique of "wide-angle macro photography" without the need for an extension tube.
Macro lenses on the market typically feature medium to long focal lengths, limiting users who want to take very close-up shots of flowers or insects by not being able to show many details of the surrounding environment.
The Laowa 15mm f/4 1:1 Macro features a wide 110° angle of view with a maximum magnification of 1:1.
Photographers can focus very close, letting the foreground dominate the frame, while also having a background that tells viewers where and how the subject lives, making the image more narrative and intriguing.
The lens can also serve as an excellent wide-angle lens with infinity focus for cameras with full-frame sensors.
A shift mechanism has been added to the rear of the lens with a maximum adjustment of +/- 6mm, which is extremely useful for architectural or landscape photography to correct distortion.
The lens features 12 elements in 9 groups, including three high-refractive elements and one anti-dispersion element, to reduce chromatic aberrations and ghosting and deliver crystal-clear image clarity from the center to the edges.
Distortion is carefully controlled.
