Laowa 65mm T2.9 2x Macro APO Cine is the first cinematic macro lens with 2X maximum magnification for Super 35 sensors, with a minimum focusing distance of 7cm. It is capable of capturing amazing details of objects of different sizes, a perfect lens for close-up shooting, B-roll and mood shooting.
Thanks to the apochromatic optical design, chromatic aberration is controlled to a minimum, the optical quality is very high and the contrast is optimal.
The 65mm Macro Cine lens is capable of infinity focus up to 2x magnification, with a minimum focusing distance of 8cm. Incredible details of objects of different sizes can be captured. It is the first 2X macro lens on the market for Super35 sensors.
Chromatic aberration (CA) in in-focus and out-of-focus areas is suppressed to a minimum, avoiding the need for post-production.
The 65mm T2.9 has an optical structure of 14 elements in 10 groups with 3 ED glasses, to offer extraordinary detail and contrast from the center to the periphery of the image.
The 9-blade shutter produces a nice and soft bokeh in the out-of-focus areas.

The lens features a 77mm filter thread and standard 0.8 mod toothing on both the aperture and focus rings.
The aperture adjustment ring is continuous, with no click-stops for quiet and fluid control of the diaphragm. Both imperial and metric scales are printed on the lens body.
