The Nikon Irix 150mm F2.8 Macro 1: 1 Dragonfly lens is optimized for close-up photography and is a medium-sized main telephoto lens with a full-size 1: 1 magnification and a minimum focusing distance of 34cm for photographing subjects nearby. A bright f / 2.8 maximum aperture allows you to work in different lighting conditions and also offers more control over depth of field to isolate the subject. The 12-element, nine-group optical design features a Neutrino coating, which helps suppress lens flare and ghosting for greater contrast and color accuracy when working in bright light conditions.
Supplementing the optical assets is a sturdy physical construction, called the Dragonfly, which contains extensive weather seals to protect against dust and moisture. This manual focus lens also features a printed focus distance and depth of field scaling to focus quickly and accurately, and a rounded aperture with 11 blades contributes to smooth bokeh quality. Additionally, the included tripod collar has an Arca-type compatible foot for perfect compatibility with a variety of tripod heads.
The fixed focal length medium telephoto lens is designed for Nikon F mount cameras, however it is also suitable for APS-C models where it will provide a focal length equivalent to 240mm.
