The anamorphic system allows videographers to obtain widescreen images from a standard recording medium, giving their footage a more cinematic look: an image ratio of 2.4:1 is achieved on a 16:9 sensor.
An alternative way to achieve this ratio is to crop the image, resulting in pixel loss.

The Laowa Nanomorph series is designed for Super35 and M43 sensors. Anamorphic lenses are called "Nano" because they are extremely small and lightweight, while "Morph" stands for anamorphic.
The range includes three focal lengths: 27mm T2.8, 35mm T2.4, and 50mm T2.4.
The anamorphic design has a 1.5x magnification ratio across the entire focusing range.
Three versions of each lens are available, each characterized by a different flare color?amber, blue, and silver?suitable for different filmmaking genres or the preferences of cinematographers and camera operators.
The minimum focusing distance allows for a pronounced oval bokeh and creates a greater sense of spatial compression.

This leaves some room for cropping to a 2.4:1 widescreen ratio.
Instead, a ratio of 1.8x or 2x would generate a 3.2:1 and 3.5:1 image, requiring further cropping to reach 2.4:1.
