The CR-X500 is designed to be mounted outdoors and provides IP55 waterproof protection, preventing dust, dirt, water and salt from damaging the lens and camera electronics.

The internals of the CR-X500 boast many of the assets of a high-resolution Canon camera or camcorder with features such as a 1.0" dual-pixel CMOS sensor, Canon DIG!C DV6 image processor, wide dynamic range, minimum brightness of 3 lux, 15x zoom, 30x digital zoom in Full HD and up to UHD 4K video output via the 12G-SDI connector Other professional camera features of the CR-X500 include genlock, HLG and Canon Log 3 support as well as built-in support for ND filters with clear, 1/4, 1/16 and 1/64 options.

The CR-X500 PTZ camera incorporates Canon's DIG!C DV 6 image processor, essential for delivering high image quality, advanced performance and convenient operation. This advanced core technology provides the image processing power and speed that enable features such as 4K UHD video capture and precise AF.
Panning with exceptionally smooth movements, perfect for all types of shooting
It can perform smooth and precise panning movements with a speed range of 0.5 to 25° per second and tilt movements with a speed range of 0.3 to 20° per second It features a very low ambient noise level of NC-55 at less than 10° per second.
The camera can use an external controller via RS-422 or Canon's proprietary NU serial protocol using the optional RC-IP100 PTZ controller. There's also a built-in wiper, so you don't have to clean the lens yourself if it gets wet or dirty. The CR-X500 also features an AUX port on the back so you can add an optional washer unit.
