UHD Video Recording 4K HDR
The S5 is a camera designed for high-performance video: it supports internal recording of UHD 4K30p full-frame at 10-bit 4:2:2 and UHD 4K60p (with APS-C crop) at 10-bit 4:2:0. There are no recording time limits.
It is also possible to record at high speeds up to 180 fps in Full HD and take advantage of anamorphic recording.
Dual Native ISO technology ensures an optimal balance between low noise and high sensitivity.
Each pixel has two dedicated circuits:
- Low ISO: base sensitivity ISO 100 (standard use), ISO 640 (V-Log), ISO 400 (HLG), ISO 200 (Cinelike D2/V2).
- High ISO: base sensitivity ISO 640 (standard use), ISO 4000 (V-Log), ISO 2500 (HLG), ISO 1250 (Cinelike D2/V2).
For post-grading, the S5 offers advanced settings to maximize dynamic range. The pre-installed V-Log profile allows for a flat gamma curve with over 14 stops of dynamic range.
Hybrid Log Gamma (HDR) modes and Cinelike D2/V2 profiles for smooth, cinematic color rendering are also available, supported by a built-in LUT for accurate real-time monitoring.
