The full-frame FX2 camera delivers stunning cinematic images that combine high resolution with beautiful bokeh.
Featuring a back-illuminated Exmor R™ CMOS sensor, supported by the BIONZ XR™ image processing engine and an advanced AI processing unit, the camera delivers high sensitivity, wide latitude and 33MP resolution, giving ambitious visual artists everything they need to express their vision.

Outstanding image quality for maximum editing flexibility
The FX2's full-frame sensor produces footage with smooth, natural gradations thanks to over 15 stops of latitude when shooting in S-Log3, capturing every detail in even high-contrast scenes.
The base ISO for S-Log3 shooting can be set to 800 or 4000, and the camera supports S-Gamut3/S-Gamut3.Cine color gamuts for wide compatibility.
All of this helps make editing more efficient for multi-camera shoots.

Import up to 16 User LUTs
The FX2 lets you import and apply LUTs to the LCD monitor and electronic viewfinder during movie shooting or playback.
You can import up to 16 User LUT files from a memory card or Sony's Creators' Cloud, and select from them to suit your needs.
The LUT used for recording can be embedded into the video metadata for post-production.

Display de-squeeze for anamorphic lenses
Anamorphic lenses are a popular choice for those wanting to create a truly cinematic look.
The FX2 features a de-squeeze display mode that allows monitoring at the standard CinemaScope aspect ratio of 2.93:1 when using anamorphic lenses for shooting.
De-squeeze settings of 1.3x and 2.0x are available, while Sony's Monitor & Control app offers even more detailed monitoring options via a tablet or other external display device.

Freedom to choose your frame rate
The FPS menu inherits features from the high-end Cinema Line models, including a [Variable] setting that offers intuitive control over the frame rate: up to 2.5x slow motion at 4K resolution or up to 5x slow motion when recording in Full HD at up to 120 fps.

High-definition tilting electronic viewfinder
Keep a close eye on your footage, even in bright environments or with distractions, thanks to the approximately 3.68 million-dot OLED viewfinder.
It offers 0.70x magnification (50 mm lens, infinity focus, -1 m-1 diopter), with the viewing angle and eyepiece height optimised for movie shooting.
You can also rotate the viewfinder from 0° to +90°, for easy viewing at any angle, and remove or flip the eyepiece from left to right as needed.
