The powerful HD Live Event Switch, supporting up to 10 individual 3G / HD-SDI inputs built into a 1 RU chassis, is at your fingertips with the Blackmagic Design ATEM 1 M / E Constellation HD Live Production Switcher. Supporting 3G-SDI and HD-SDI signals, the switcher connects to a wide range of cameras and sources, providing program output via six 3G-SDI BNC outputs or a webcam output via USB Type-C. Additionally, the switcher features multiview output with up to 16 routable windows capable of displaying inputs, keystrokes, graphics and still images from the media pool, as well as program output. Each input connects to an integrated Fairlight audio mixer that supports up to 28 audio channels.
The switcher has a reference video input and each input has a frame synchronizer, a frame rate converter and a format converter. This allows you to mix and match cameras, formats, cameras that do not have genlock and video input from computer sources. Upstream and downstream keyers and effects are supported. All of this is done live and in real time without the need for rendering. You can control the switcher using the integrated front panel, optional Blackmagic ATEM panels or via downloadable control software.
Transition quality transitions
ATEM Constellation HD includes a wide range of native broadcast quality transitions such as mix, dip, wipe and more. All transitions can be customized in the system control menus with adjustments for border color, border width, position, direction and much more. The ATEM Constellation switcher includes a powerful digital video effects processor for DVE transitions, which can be used to squeeze the current image off the screen by revealing a new video beneath it. DVE can also be used to create graphic wipe transitions. To eliminate errors, ATEM Constellation HD has a preview transition function so you can set the transitions before airing.
Integrated DVE
ATEM Constellation has a standalone DVE that allows you to reposition graphics and create picture-in-picture compositions. You get stunning quality and DVE supports positioning, scaling and scaling - all in real time. DVE allows you to create professional picture-in-picture effects with customizable 3D borders, shadows and lighting.
Multi-view
Configurable for 16, 13, 10, 7 or 4 shots, includes program monitoring, previews, inputs, media players, DSK and clean feed with optional audio tags and meters.
Professional broadcast talkback
To keep teams working as one creative team, ATEM Constellation features built-in talkback. Talkback supports a 5-pin XLR headphone connector, as well as a rear-mounted RJ45 connector for interfacing with industry standard talkback systems such as ClearCom or RTS. Get full control of talkback including program and engineering loops, sidetone control to hear the headphone mic in the headphones, and program mix. ATEM Constellation HD also supports SDI talkback which uses SDI channels 15 and 16 for 2-way communication with Blackmagic Design cameras. You can even use channels 13 and 14 for technical talkback. You can also mix the talkback microphone into the voiceover program audio.
