The short telephoto focal length, combined with the fast f/1.8 aperture, makes it suitable for working in a variety of lighting conditions, as well as ideal for controlling depth of field and isolating the subject.
The optical design includes one extra-low dispersion (ED) element, one aspherical element and four high-transparency glass elements, which help to reduce chromatic and spherical aberrations, ensuring high image sharpness and clarity.
A multilayer HD Nano coating has been applied to suppress flare and ghosting, improving contrast in bright lighting conditions.
Furthermore, the lens features an STM motor that ensures fast and quiet autofocus, with a minimum focusing distance of 80cm, ideal even for close-up subjects.
