It features 2 Cfexpress card slots and an Ethernet port for sharing files to the Blackmagic Cloud!
It can also record 12-bit Blackmagic RAW and the tiny H.264 proxy format at the same time.

Large Format Digital Cinema Sensor
Blackmagic PYXIS models feature a massive full frame sensor with a native resolution of 6048 x 4032 or even 12288 x 8040! That's about three times larger than a Super 35 sensor, allowing you to shoot shallow depth of field or use uncropped anamorphic lenses for true cinematic looks.
Whether you're shooting in bright sunlight or in near darkness, the huge dynamic range combined with the high performance sensor delivers stunning images with very low noise.
PYXIS also lets you shoot up to 120 fps on the 6K model, or up to 112 fps on the PYXIS 12K model.
The incredible sensor and Blackmagic Color Science give you the same quality as more expensive digital film cameras.

By using the entire sensor area you get a stunning 3:2 open gate image that can be re-framed in post production.
The large sensor also lets you shoot in 6:5 anamorphic without cropping, so your widescreen images will have more detail and resolution than ever before.
You can also use it in classic Super 35 windowed mode to create a close-up version of the shot that perfectly matches the open gate footage.

Three Lens Mount Options
Blackmagic PYXIS supports the widest range of lenses in the world because there are three different versions available that let you use L, EF or PL lenses! The L mount model works perfectly with the latest full frame lenses from Leica, Panasonic and Sigma, as well as a myriad of new and vintage lenses when used with adapters.
The EF mount model lets you use the high quality photographic lenses you already own for your DSLR or Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera.
The PL mount model is designed to allow you to use professional cinema lenses from brands including Zeiss, ARRI and Cooke without the need for an adapter.

The Blackmagic PYXIS 6K has a massive 13 stops of dynamic range, while the PYXIS 12K model has a massive 16 stops, so you can retain more detail in the brightest and darkest areas of the image than a typical video camera.
This lets you set the exposure for indoor scenes, such as a coffee shop, while still retaining the detail in the window lighting.
