Per filmaker indipendenti, fonici di presa diretta e podcasters che necessitano di qualità audio al top fino ad un massimo di 3 microfoni, il MixPre 3 II è il dispositivo ideale con la sua tecnologia di registrazione a 32 bit-192 khz che rappresenta la più significativa delle differenze con la versione precedente.
Questo rende praticamente impossibile che il segnale in ingresso non possa essere editato anche in caso di clipping(distorsione)del livello. Questo anche grazie all'impressionante valore di 142dB di gamma dinamica. Tutto il resto dipende dalla qualità del microfono.
Altri enormi vantaggi sono la possibilità di effettuare un backup su USB drive, il Generatore di Timecode ad elevata precisione(0,5 frame in 24h)anche da spento(fino a 4 ore dopo lo spegnimento)
Sempre con i 3 canali dotati degli eccellenti preamp Kashmir, la possibilità di essere alimentato via USB o batterie AA, o Sony tipo serie L.
Tutti gli ingressi sono protetti da interferenze RF.
L'unità può essere usata come un semplice mixer o anche come scheda di acquisizione audio USB a bassa latenza
